My client is a well-established leader in multi-disciplinary, technical, and scientific consulting, specializing in the marine and energy sectors. Objective of role The candidate will become an integral part of Brookes Bell's growth in the field of advanced non-destructive testing. * This is a permanent full time role where the role holder will be required to work flexibly around our customers' requirements. * Become highly skilled in a number of advanced NDT/NDE methods. * Issue interim and final reports, detailing descriptions of examination and anomalies, stating suitability for service in accordance with regulations such as IACS Class Rule, ASME/ASNT, API and PED. * Maintain a contemporaneous record of daily activities. * Ensure that the Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to. * The aim of the role is to work as part of the Non-destructive Testing Team and support the Principal of NDT Services in the growth of the department. Working Arrangements Land-based marine work in shipyards, and plant inspection and testing work. The role averages at least 5 days per week attendance, either at Brookes Bell's laboratory, on site, or at the NDT survey location. Hours of employment Mon - Fri, (Apply online only) Salary benefits On site allowance, UK or overseas – £120 per day. Average of 14 days per month = £20,160 extra. Job requirements * Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to specific job description * PCN Level 2 Eddy Current Testing (ECT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – in any of the following (Casting/Forgings/Welds) * Knowledge of condition monitoring and diagnostic engineering techniques * Experience and understanding of advanced NDT methods and techniques * Experience in Corrosion Mapping surveys * Good understanding of degradation mechanisms affecting fixed equipment and infrastructure in Marine, Oil & Gas and Energy industries * Experience interpreting and editing schematics in AutoCAD beneficial not essential * Good understanding of HSSE management systems and Risk Assessment methodology * Well versed in internationally accepted codes, standards and practices * Full UK Driving License * Highly motivated and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail * A motivated, approachable and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude * Good communication skills * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Excellent benefits on offer*.
