We are proud of what we have achieved in growing Asian food categories in Canada, where we have a presence nationally, as well in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Japan and the UK through our parent company, Oriental Merchant Group.We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Senior Executive who can provide support to warehouse team.Please check below job description for the role:Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese)Ensuring the overall smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, maintain a good management of inventory and maintain the condition of the warehouseArrange time for warehouse staff to make sure orders are finished on timeArrange delivery routes to Y&Y’s delivery team to ensure efficiencies in travel time and type of truck usedArrange any stock for CFIA inspection that is scheduled to be inspected by CFIA personnelCheck and monitor all outgoing and incoming stocksCheck and distribute bulk orders (Walmart, Sobeys, & INTER WAREHOUSE TRANSFER) to all bulk pickers and supervise themInduction and training of any newly-hired warehouse staffMonitor level of all repacking boxes and advise on any boxes that need reorderingAssist in loading/unloading trucks/containers and pick orders if neededAdvise pallet configuration of all new stocks or any shelf-friendly packaging stocksMonitor the cleanliness of the warehouse including safety awarenessMonitor all stocks that need to be receivedReport any maintenance needed to repair inside and outside of the warehouse including equipmentEnsure lift truck’s water packs are regularly filledUndergo training in WMS, become competent in using this systemAnswer ad hoc enquiries related to WMS e.g., batch code and traceabilityMaintain and manage WMS softwareManage and check short-coded stock and accordingly generate short-coded report on a monthly basisUndertake cycle count on a daily basis in order to measure accuracy of inventory in warehouseManage movement of quarantine consignmentsAssist Logistics Manager in undertaking annual stock take and related activities or other tasks as required from time to timeIf you are interested in this position and possess a genuine passion for Asian food, click 'apply now'.
