Environmental Health Safety Coordinator

Job Description:Job Description Precision Castparts Corporation Canada (PCC), is currently seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join us based out of our Woodbridge, Ontario location. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with our current Environmental Health and Safety Team, The EH&S coordinator will assist on environmental projects, health and safety projects, data collection, corporate programs and other day-to-day EHS tasks. Position Accountabilities:Prepare and update technical documents/manuals: Standard Work Instructions, Equipment Lockout Tag out Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and Site PoliciesComplete Risk Assessments including Job Hazard AssessmentsAssist with 6S Program: labeling, organization, shadow boards preparation, layouts, and taking/posting area picturesProvide general support and assistance to the EHS team.Assist in Environmental Health and Safety auditsMaintain relevant H&S Documents and RecordsParticipate in accident/incident investigations including root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate corrective actionsCoordinate JHSC activities and facilitate inspections/meetings and ensure all open issues are addressed in a timely mannerMaintain Health and Safety training records and ensure training certificationsSupport business success by fostering a culture where health, safety and environment is part of everything we doAnalyze safety trends and make recommendations to business unitsTrain other employees as required.Perform other duties as assigned Skills and ExperienceCompletion of an Environmental / Occupational Health and Safety Diploma/Certificate program or previous experience on a EHS role.Previous experience as an EHS Coordinator/Specialist/Administrator or Co-op student.A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem-solving skillsA strong mindset for continuous improvementAttention to detail and an attitude of 100% compliance with all company and regulatory requirementsStrong verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to simultaneously manage several projectsHigh energy level and ability to work flexible hours If you’re passionate about EH&S and would like to gain the experience needed to further your career, we invite you to apply.
