Production Engineer - Automation

Role: Production Engineer – Automation Location: Milton Keynes Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits + Bonus   Due to continued success and growth, a leading manufacturing business is looking for a Production Engineer to join their team at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes.   The responsibilities of the Production Engineer – Automation are as follows: Identify, evaluate, and present automation opportunities Design jigs, fixtures, and ensure effective robot programming. Deliver lean-structured process documents, work instructions, and standard operation procedures. Support Production Engineering with automation initiatives across production areas Assist with specifying, setting up, and commissioning new robotic equipment and facilities. Generate and adjust programs for new and existing product welds. Oversee weld facilities, adjusting welds and tooling as needed. Provide hands-on technical support to teams. Help develop and integrate automated/robotic welding processes. Assess welding processes for quality, productivity, and function. Train others in welding practices. Support internal and external audits of welding processes. Perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs.   The successful Production Engineer – Automation will have the following skills/experience: Educated in an engineering or manufacturing discipline / equivalent experience Proven skills, knowledge, experience, and expertise in developing and supporting new and existing production lines and plant equipment.
