A leading chilled food manufacturer seeks a Customer Technical Manager to provide technical support to key retailer accounts, ensuring exceptional standards of integrity, food safety, and legality.
Job Description
Reporting to the Technical Director, this role will provide a comprehensive technical service to key retailer accounts, working closely with internal customer functions to ensure technical agenda is in-line with business objectives.
- Key point of contact for customers (UK retailers)
- Work with internal customer functions to ensure technical agenda is in-line with business objectives
- Visit customer sites and host customer visits to suppliers and at the business facility
- Manage customer specifications
- Creation and maintenance of technical policies
- Manage NPD and Innovation projects for key customers
- Facilitate and provide technical support with the launch of products
- Look for continuous improvement and optimisation of systems and processes
Candidate requirements:
- At least 3 years experience working in Customer Technical role and experience working with Major UK retailers
- A degree in Food Science or equivalent
- The ability to manage projects and improving processes
- Significant experience of food safety and quality management systems
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
