We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to join our our growing, progressive, and collaborative work environment at our Promark drumstick facility in Houston, TX. The Manufacturing Manager will act as the primary liaison between the production team and the Plant Manager to ensure that production, personnel, and applicable financial goals established by management are met. They will ensure that Lean directives and other objectives are achieved by maintaining adherence to processes and standards with regard to safety, quality, production levels, inventory control, and human resources. The Manufacturing Manager is also responsible for implementing decisions regarding disciplinary action and adherence to company personnel policy by direct associates. Your work location will be at our Houston, Texas office, where you'll be required to work on-site Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:
Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Reviews production goals with plant management and peers and establishes plans to achieve them. Actively monitors production, inventory, and quality levels. Ensures all direct reports are working as directed and performing as intended.
Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
Supports and embraces Company’s Lean Initiatives, actively participates in the Company’s Lean transformation, and audits sections and entire department to ascertain that sustainment efforts are maintained.
Coaches and monitors Production Team to ensure that all equipment is properly set up to produce error-free, quality products according to plan and to established standards.
Meets with Production Team Leads daily to discuss, review, and take action as required on production, personnel, quality, material and other pertinent issues. Implements corrective measures to address daily deviations from standards and escalates larger issues to management as necessary.
Interfaces with Quality Assurance, Planning and Inventory Control regarding quality, material and order requirements, work order releases and issues related to work order completion.
Participates in the selection/hiring of, trains or ensures the training, disciplines, and, under extreme conditions, terminates employees using company guidelines and with advance knowledge of and approval by of Senior Manufacturing Management and Human Resources. Conduct annual reviews for direct staff performance.
Solicits, relays, and supports the implementation of ideas from Production Team to improve productivity. Acts as front-line morale representative.
Interfaces with Maintenance Department to implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to train others in machine skills and standard work procedures
