Here's how a Solar Engineering Manager, Analytics for our Solar Canada office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities:
Oversees the performance of all solar projects aiming to maximize energy production and revenue.
Accountable for conducting potential loss calculations caused by various outdoor environments.
Oversees all data irregularities, monitoring trends in project performance and proactively identifies underlying and potential issues.
Understands client drivers and offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost and schedule benefit.
Negotiates availability guarantees, performance ratios and capacity test exhibits for project contracts through calculations and data analysis.
Prepares, presents and defends performance testing results and monthly or annual reports to clients and their independent engineers.
Coordinates with manufacturers and SCADA suppliers while interpreting various technical documents.
Ensures continued awareness of the renewable market and ongoing innovation and/or issues.
Identifies and manages risk and opportunities on solar projects.
Supervises, directs, coaches, trains and mentors team including direct and indirect reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
10-15 years of progressive construction experience, with leadership and mentoring skills preferred.
In-depth knowledge of solar industry including supporting the operation and performance of solar projects.
Ability to monitor and forecast project resources and staffing for the project.
Ability to identify and manage risk and opportunities on solar projects.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
Experience in leading a team of 4-6 employees.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
