Creative Leader for the Barbican

About the Role:

The University of Lincoln is seeking a visionary Creative Leader to establish the Barbican as a hub for creative industries in Lincolnshire. As Director of Creative Hub, you will be responsible for developing the skills and experience of emerging creatives, nurturing talent, and driving innovation in the region.

The successful candidate will bring entrepreneurial flair and passion to building new partnerships, creating opportunities for creatives to collaborate and showcase their work, and identifying sources of income to fund job support and start-up programmes. Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategies to establish the Barbican as a creative crucible for Lincolnshire.
2. Nurture and support creative communities, develop job opportunities, and enrich the lives of residents.
3. Build new partnerships, create opportunities for creatives to collaborate and innovate, and identify sources of income to fund job support and start-up programmes.
4. Balance innovation, creativity with sound business sense and an understanding of both the private, third sector, and policy contexts.
