BSL Teaching Assistant Start Date: October Full Time: 5 days per week Pay Rate: £75 to £90 per day, depending on experience TeacherActive is delighted to collaborate with a mainstream primary school in Balsall Heath. This Primary School is a welcoming and vibrant educational institution committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for students and they are looking for a BSL Teaching Assistant to assist with some of their students. Role Overview: As a BSL Teaching Assistant at this primary school, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching staff and ensuring that all children receive the guidance they need to succeed. Working closely with teachers, support staff, and parents. As a BSL Teaching Assistant you will assist in delivering engaging lessons and provide targeted assistance to children with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include preparing learning materials, helping to manage classroom activities, and contributing to the overall well-being and development of the students. Responsibilities: Assist in planning and delivering high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of all pupils. Support the creation of a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, especially those with SEND. Monitor student progress and communicate findings with the teaching staff. Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a productive learning environment. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience. Candidate Requirements: Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential as well as having BSL level 2 at least A proven ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff. Experience supporting with BSL. A proactive approach to learning and adapting to the needs of the classroom. What We Offer: Competitive daily pay rates ranging from £75 to £90, based on experience.
