This role involves providing day-to-day care and support for young people, engaging them in outdoor activities, and helping them overcome challenges to prepare for a fulfilling life. Job Profile The role of Senior Residential Support Worker requires enthusiasm, pro activity, and a caring nature. You will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in the lives of young people, helping them develop, grow, and prepare for their future. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Primary Responsibilities Support the Service Manager in providing the highest quality care in a safe environment. Participate in a twelve-week program offering alternative accommodation and activities to help young people break negative cycles. Engage young people in outdoor and physical activities such as mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and rock climbing. Establish positive relationships with young people, helping them build self-confidence and trust. Work flexibly over four or five-day shifts, including overnights. Ensure the safety and well-being of young people during activities. Collaborate with team members to plan and organise activities and care routines. Skills/Experience Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar environment. Enjoyment of outdoor activities and a willingness to learn new skills. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with young people and colleagues. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including regular outdoor activities. Confidence and capability in managing challenging situations in a nurturing manner. Hours 39 hours per week, including shifts and sleep-in duties. Package/Benefits Salary: £26,972.40 - £28,189.20 per annum (£13.30 to £13.90 per hour) Additional £6,765.12 per annum for sleep-ins (£62.64 per sleep-in, estimated 9 per month) Total package: £33,737.52 - £34,954.32 per annum The Real Living Wage as a minimum.
