Supply Chain Director

A prominent and highly regarded manufacturing organisation is actively seeking to recruit a Supply Chain Director to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis in Staverton, Cheltenham. This role comes with a salary package of £100,000. The chosen candidate will be responsible for strategically leading and overseeing all aspects of the supply chain functions, which will include critical areas such as procurement, Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning as well as Sales and Operations Planning and other integral planning activities. Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Director include: Developing and implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy to align with the over business objectives and growth plans Leading transformation of the supply chain functions, focusing on process improvement, cost/working capital reduction and exceptional customer service Building, mentoring and managing high-performing supply chain team Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating favourable terms Optimise inventory levels to meet production demands whilst minimising carrying costs and mitigating risks Developing and monitoring key performance indicators to assess effectiveness of the supply chain operation Person Specification of the Supply Chain Director: Previous experience in Supply Chain Managing within a manufacturing environment Previous experience within a leadership role and managing recruitment processes Demonstrable experience with supply chain management, transformation and process improvement Well-developed strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Comfortable negotiating at the highest level with demanding and challenging customersSalary Up to £100k Role is based fully onsite with no hybrid working This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within supply chain or procurement as a supply chain manager, procurement manager, supply chain director, procurement director, head of supply chain, supply chain specialist, head of sourcing, head of procurement, head of purchasing or purchasing director
