Motivate the development of both new and improved quantum algorithms for our upcoming, under-construction quantum computers. Your task is to look at the potential for quantum advantage while keeping the hardware characteristics in mind. You will create and model quantum algorithms with the goal of using them to solve practical issues. You will concentrate on modifying these algorithms for our next quantum computer. ResponsibilitiesEstablishing and improving quantum simulations or algorithms that effectively utilize hardware capabilities Assisting industry R& D partnerships in the use of quantum simulations and algorithms for computational issues Research on near-term quantum computing methods, either theoretically or practically, and/or in practice Working together with subject matter experts to transform commercial issues into challenges that quantum algorithms can handle Presenting study results in journal articles and technical talks RequirementsYou hold a PhD in theoretical computer science, theoretical physics, quantum information, quantum computation theory, or a closely related discipline. You have five years of research and/or work experience in the field (including a PhD). You are well-versed in the use of quantum physics in the creation of algorithms. You've worked with partial differential equations, quantum simulation, optimization, and other real-world issues involving quantum techniques. You can work with a variety of talented engineering teams. You write and speak English well. You have the drive and independence to work on your own.
