Mail/Parcel Sorter Location: Atherstone Full-time, Temp-Perm 6.00am – 14.00pm £12.54 14.00pm – 22.00pm - £13.90 22.00pm – 6.00am - £15.11  Overtime over 40 hours payable at £15.36 Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Mail Sorter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all incoming and outgoing mail is processed accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced role that requires good organisational skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: - Sort incoming and outgoing mail according to specified procedures. - Organise mail by zip codes, delivery routes, and categories. - Operate mail processing machines and equipment. - Ensure that packages and letters are handled with care. - Monitor for damaged or mislabeled mail and reroute as necessary. - Keep records of mail transactions and process documentation. - Meet daily sorting quotas and performance targets. - Follow health and safety guidelines while performing duties. Requirements: - Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while sorting mail. - Basic computer skills for mail tracking systems. - Good attention to detail and organisational skills. - Ability to lift and move packages up to 10kg. - Experience in mail sorting or a similar environment is preferred, but not required. - Must be punctual and reliable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
