ASD Teaching Assistant - Secondary Location: North Shields, Tyne and Wear Salary Scale: £80 to £120 per day Status: Full Time Start: ASAP About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting secondary school students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? GSL Education is looking for a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join schools in North Shields, Tyne and Wear. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives and contribute to their educational journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group support to students with ASD, helping them to engage in learning activities. Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and support plans. Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to promote student progress. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued. The successful candidate will: Have experience working with secondary school students with ASD. Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience in supporting student needs. Possess effective communication and teamwork skills. Be dedicated to promoting inclusivity and diversity in education.
