We are on the lookout for Senior Support Worker who is calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.  Furthermore, as Senior Support Worker you will:  You will be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example, being professional, patient and calm under pressure with experience of providing extraordinary support. You will supervise daily outputs and assist the deputy manager in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals. You will have a QCF in Health & Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with willingness to undertake a level 3 in Health & Social Care and demonstrate reasonable knowledge of regulatory standards for supported/residential living. You will take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support. You will help plan and achieve both short- and long-term goal. You will plan and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities. You will ensure the people you support and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, equity, and equality. You will be available to work 37.5 hours a week working a series of early shifts 7.00am to 3.00pm, mid shifts 9.00am to 5.00pm, 10.00am to 6.00pm, late shifts 2.00pm to 10.00pm, and every other weekend. This will be on a shift rota basis that is given to you 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Bristol Supporting Living Service is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to a individuals with a range of disabilities who require assistance with daily living tasks. About you A natural leader with experience of providing extraordinary support, ideally to people with disabilities, you'll be professional, patient and calm under pressure You'll be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example and nurture and develop talent, both in your team members and the people we support You'll have A QCF in Health & Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with willingness to under level 3 and be Knowledge of regulatory standards for supported/residential living but above all you'll take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support, striving always to surpass expectations and do what is right by them. Supporting the manager and deputy manager you'll lead a team of support workers to provide extraordinary, person centred support, which is safe and maximises choice, dignity and independence.  Acting as a role model and mentor to the support workers you’ll facilitate the use of sound judgment and creative solutions to enable people to achieve goals and explore new opportunities. You'll supervisor daily outputs and assist the deputy manager in managing staff performance, development and appraisals.Key responsibilities Provide support with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Assist with meal preparation and household tasks Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals Accompany the lady we support to appointments and activities Maintain accurate records of daily activities and provide reports as necessary Ensure the safety and well-being of the people we support at all times Training and Development Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility is one of the oldest disability charities in the UK and has pioneered specialist support for over 220 years.
