About You:

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, you are the official voice for Propel, and will be key in crafting content and communications opportunities for our corporate and operating brands. You will bring the stories of Propel to life, from our technology to our people, to our financial literacy programming and in doing this you will help content that helps us realize our vision of building new financial opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and maintain a content and communications calendar across Propel corporate and operating brands, by analyzing data, identifying opportunities, and following industry best practices
  • Further refine and develop individual brand voices, messaging and tones for our operating brands and executives, as Propel builds its brand ecosystem
  • Identify communications opportunities and work in coordination with communications team to execute against them
  • Develop compelling content, primarily long-form written content, to tell the stories of Propel, that is error free, persuasive and ownable, including key messaging, speeches, LinkedIn content, white papers, blog posts, and internal communications products
  • Work in coordination with broader content and brand teams (Design, SEO and other specialties) to build engaging content beyond the written word
  • Assist with key communications campaigns and programs, by developing content, managing deadlines and deliverables, and supporting preparation of executives
  • Edit and proofread content produced by other team members


Requirements

  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience as content or communications professional
  • Experience in the financial services, credit, or FINTECH industry a benefit
  • Impeccable use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Compelling writing style, voice, and tone
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in web-based research and SEO best practices
