Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor - Civils (North East) Are you passionate about civil engineering projects and ensuring they're delivered on time and within budget? This role will see you playing a pivotal role in the successful completion of a range of exciting civil engineering projects. You'll be utilising your expertise in a variety of areas, including: Quantity Take-Offs: Transforming complex drawings and specifications into clear, accurate quantity breakdowns. Contract Management: Negotiating and finalising sub-contractor contracts, ensuring everyone's on the same page. Cost Control Wizard: Managing variations and claims throughout the project lifecycle, keeping a watchful eye on the budget. Financial Finesse: Preparing and monitoring project budgets and cash flow forecasts, ensuring financial success. Client Liaison: Producing final accounts and liaising with clients on financial matters, building strong relationships. To be the perfect candidate, you'll possess: A minimum HNC/HND/BSc qualification in Quantity Surveying (or demonstrably equivalent experience). ? At least 3 years' experience working within a civils environment, with a proven track record. A solid understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods (NEC contracts a plus!). Excellent commercial acumen and a knack for keeping costs in check. The ability to seamlessly collaborate within a team and juggle multiple priorities like a pro. Top-notch communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills - you're a natural-born persuader! ? A valid driving licence and a willingness to travel throughout the North East (occasional national travel might be on the cards).
