Day Operator - Energy from Waste Power Station

Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit for a Day Operator at their energy from waste power station near Bicester, Oxfordshire. The crucial Day Operator role comes with a basic salary of £38,941 (inclusive of partial shift allowance and living allowance) + overtime + up to 10% bonus + other benefits. Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Day Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for: Controlling vehicle movements in the tipping hall area Assisting with loading and unloading operations Operation of mobile plant and machinery in accordance with the company's procedures Operations of weighbridges when required and completing the necessary tickets associated Carry out first line maintenance activities within the tipping hall area Operating the overhead grab crane via the control room when required Carry out random inspections of waste arriving to site in the tipping hall to ensure compliance with the permit and reporting any none-conformance This will be a Monday - Friday role working split day shifts (06:30 - 15:00 / 10:30 - 19:00) with working an early Saturday shift 1 in 7 weeks. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: An engineering qualification will be advantageous, but not a necessity Possessing mobile plant tickets will be highly advantageous Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge The Day Operator role would suit someone who has: Experience in mobile plant operations Prior experience working in the waste management sector Good IT skills with ability to use MS applications Salary and benefits of the Day Operator role A total remuneration of £38,941 inclusive of partial shift allowance and location living allowance Up to 10% bonus Overtime Other benefits INDPOW Astute Technical Recruitment Limited are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
