We provide a range of services, including Community Support, Welfare Checks, Family Contact, Parenting Support, and more, to ensure that every child’s voice is heard and that they receive the help they need to thrive. Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding children and young people, offering support to families in need, and ensuring the effective delivery of our services. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct welfare checks and child protection visits to assess and ensure the safety of children and young people. * Carry out support and collaborate with Emergency Duty Teams to offer out-of-hours support. * Assist with statutory Child Protection Visits, both locally and for out-of-area placements. * Facilitate the movement of children and young people between different settings as required. * Provide contact support services at designated contact or community-based centres. * Work with families to ensure their voices are heard, and they receive the necessary support to prevent problems from escalating. Qualifications & Experience: * Previous experience in a similar role, working with children, young people, and families. * Strong understanding of UK legislation on child protection practices and procedures. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel * Other: Right to work in the United Kingdom.
