Logistics Administrator – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Location: Long Marston – Hybrid (2/3 days in office) Hours: Fulltime - Monday – Friday 8:30am – 17:00pm We are working with a dynamic and innovative leader in materials recovery/recycling who are searching for a Logistics and Export Administrator for a fixed term contract of 12 months. The Logistics Administrator will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the daily export and shipping operations. You would be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the transportation and distribution of goods to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely and precise delivery Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to arrange shipments and resolve any issues that arise, both based in the UK and overseas Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to relevant stakeholders Produce and update export spreadsheets and documents with absolute accuracy Account Administration- involving credit control and chasing of customer payments where necessary, and producing sales, freight and customer invoices Generate regular reports on logistics activities, including shipment volumes, costs, and delivery performance Monitor and control logistics costs to ensure they remain within budget and negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to achieve cost savings Plan and implement container overseas bookings with freight forwarders Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving any shipping issues or delaysThe Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a similar field would be highly beneficial and advantageous but not essential Knowledge of international shipping regulations and export compliance would be beneficial Outstanding and clear communication skills, written and verbal, with both internal teams and external stakeholders and customers High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills Adaptable, with the ability to prioritise changing workloads Strong IT skills- Microsoft Office particularly Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Self-motivated and positive attitudeBenefits: Flexible Hybrid Working Comprehensive training and development programs to support your career growth, upheld through a promote-from-within philosophy 23 days annual leave yearly Pension Contributions Company Health and Wellness Plan Death in Service 4 x annual salary A supportive and inclusive work environment where your contributions are valued If you are looking for a new exciting administration adventure, then get in touch today
