The headquarters of the AXA Group (GIE AXA) brings together our corporate activities. It provides guidance and support to subsidiaries around the world, to ensure the coordination and monitoring of the Group's global strategy.

Within the Group, you will join the Group Underwriting Office as Head of Long Tail Underwriting – Commercial Lines. The newly created Group Underwriting Office is accountable for establishing, enabling, and driving profit and growth through Product Underwriting Strategy, Portfolio Design and Technical Underwriting Excellence in partnership with the AXA Entities.

• Portfolio Design Steering
• Underwriting Product Strategy and Profitability Measurement
• Technical Underwriting Guidance
• Pricing Models, Platforms and Analytics
• Risk Appetite deployment
• Ceded Reinsurance strategy design and purchasing

Dimensions

• Ensuring sustainable and profitable growth of AXA P&C commercial lines long tails activities worldwide.
• Structuring the 1st line of defense organization and missions by developing an effective P&C Commercial Lines Underwriting framework.

Votre job et missions quotidiennes:

• Define the Group Underwriting guidance for Long tail business and promote technical excellence.
• Ensure the global supervision of the Long Tail lines and step-up entities’ expertise.
• Ensure that the development of products is sustainable and profitable via the Product Approval Process.
• Control entities/region through regular technical audits.
• Participate upon request on Reserves Review Process.
• Drive the transformation of systemic risks management.
• Contribute to Mergers & Acquisitions operations related to P&C Commercial Lines business.

What you’ll need to succeed in this role:

• In-depth comprehensive knowledge and experience of P&C business operations.
• Advanced knowledge in P&C actuarial and underwriting fields.
• Good understanding of processes to efficiently manage decision-making.
• Solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Persuasive opinion to challenge and orient the P&C strategy.

Technical and professional skills:

• Deep knowledge of various liability insurances.
• Strong management skills.
• Easy manipulation of complex financial figures.
• Reinsurance knowledge.
• Recognized Expertise in loss prevention and risk engineering.

Soft skills:

• Natural leadership.
• Able to develop structured argumentation.
• Able to deliver high-level presentations.
• Agility to work in a multifaceted P&C world.
