Our team is small but our impact is mighty!About the position:We’re growing and are looking to add a Network Engineer to our team!The Network Engineer will report to the COO and will act as a liaison between our Support and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will take a self-directed approach to problem-solving, have a passion for technology, and have previous experience working with a wireless or ISP provider. If you’re the type of person who likes variety in their day-to-day role and enjoys providing a higher level of support to Enterprise customers, then we encourage you to apply!Responsibilities:Keeps up to date on industry, and suggests efficiencies and best practicesAccountable for ensuring the technical team is equipped and prepared to provide best-in-class supportResponding to technical alert notifications on client servers and network appliancesCreating and managing technical ticketsManaging IT-related alerts and notificationsProviding technical support services to Servers, Network Appliances, and End-UsersCoordinating with other team membersEvaluate new products and technologies for use internally or to offer to EGATE's clientsScheduled and ad hoc on-call assistance as required, both remotely and on-site at EGATE's data centersRequirements:Minimum of 5 years of practical, hands-on network managementHighschool diploma or relevant college programIn-depth knowledge of network concepts, devices, and protocolsExpert-level knowledge of industry network protocolsExperience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and JuniperExperience configuring and managing firewalls such as Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS, and Fortinet FortiOSCreative problem solver with solid troubleshooting skillsCustomer service orientationApplicants must be proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Nice to have:CCNA, CCIE, CCNP designationsWhy EGATE:We’re big believers in continuous learning and support our employees’ professional developmentCompetitive compensation, including paid vacation and sick days, Health Spending AccountWFH flexibility EGATE is an inclusive work environment and as such has a workplace accommodation policy in place; if you require any accommodation please advise in your application so we may coordinate.
