Job Description

As an Analytical Chemist, you will analyze chemicals from various sources according to our established procedures.

What you’ll do

  1. Conduct experiments to accurately characterize of products while also ensuring effective usage of resources
  2. Initiate the analysis of products daily with integrity, accuracy, and efficiency within encouraged timelines
  3. Build Analytical Result Records in a high quality, accurate and timely fashion
  4. Interpret and report analysis results in accordance with applicable procedures while adhering to strict guidelines of documentation and reporting
  5. Basic depth of analysis to interpret basic non-conformance results arising in NMR, MS, HPLC/GC, and CHN results due to bulk impurity and/or mishandling
  6. Analyze data acquired and identify out-of-specification (OOS) results
  7. Participate in routine maintenance and calibration of instruments

Qualifications

  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of NMR and MS and analytical methodology and separation techniques
  • Proven knowledge and experience using analytical techniques and instrumentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and time management
  • Very good analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-starter; task oriented with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good at handling stress and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry or similar technical program with an emphasis on analytical chemistry
