FOSTER CARE ASSOCIATES (THE FCA) Role: Senior Administrator Office Base: Oldbury or Blackburn Contract: Permanent - Full-time Salary: Up to £22,000 Dependant upon Experience Benefits: 30 days' Annual Leave, rising to 35 day's with length of service, + Bank Holidays, Life Assurance, Company Pension Scheme, On-Site Free Parking, Employee Discount Scheme & Medical Cash Plan. Our focus is on helping children and young people with specific religious or cultural needs find foster parents who share their values and identity and can provide a safe and loving home. No other independent fostering organisation offers this specialist service, and nobody does it so well. In our most recent inspection in 2024, OFSTED rated us as 'Outstanding' in every area of our work Our first office was in the West Midlands, but as our reputation and services have grown, so has our presence across the UK. We now have an office in Blackburn and also cover the East Midlands and Yorkshire with our local based team. The founding members, Mohammed Bashir, Andrew Nugent and Kasore Khan are still here with us, providing leadership and direction. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Administrator to join us in our friendly, dedicated and established team working at our offices either based in Oldbury or Blackburn. DUTIES INCLUDE: Undertake a wide range of administrative tasks and duties using keyboard, office 365, Teams and strong IT skills Co-ordination and sourcing of appropriate training Organisation and coordination of meetings and events Completion of monthly tasks according to deadlines Liaising with the dedicated Referrals team and Local Authorities Use key information and matching criteria for all referrals received to ensure that families are carefully matched according to children's needs Recording of essential company information to third parties on our database (CHARMS) Act as first point of contact for our customers and portray a positive, professional and helpful image of the organisation Understand and follow unique processes Note/Minute taking at meetings where appropriate Liaison with key stakeholders such as Foster Parents and Local Authorities Cover reception duties (lunch/annual leaves)ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Previous Administrative experience Solid educational background to include GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics Be able to evidence an understanding of the use of IT and electronic communications including the use of Microsoft Office in particular TEAMS, Word, Excel and Outlook email A good knowledge of administrative systems and processes Be able to demonstrate effective communication Ability to work under pressure and handle changing priorities Administration qualification or equivalentFor an informal discussion about this post please contact Andrew Nugent - Fostering Service Manager on (phone number removed).
