About the role We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior SAS Developer for our Financial Systems, who will support and maintain our SAS IFRS17 solution in production. You will be part of a growing Financial Systems team undergoing a significant transformation to support Intact’s finance systems landscape and technology modernization. You’ll handle many responsibilities: Participate in the preparation of SAS IFRS17 solution changes and enhancements Support and maintain of the SAS IFRS17 Solution Be involved in the solution maintenance lifecycle, collaborating with key stakeholders in various domains (Business, SAS, Data Analytics, Infrastructure Services, Security, Auditors, Communications, Storage, Cloud, etc.) Scope, estimate and program new functionality or bug fixes. Perform unit testing. Update and/or create new operational procedures Lead and/or participate in workshops to gather future change request requirements. Provide 1st level of production support. Provide support and guidance to other non-IT stakeholders when required. The requirements Minimum 5 years experience in SAS Programming and ETL Tools such as Informatica, SAS DIS, General data manipulation using programming languages (SAS, SQL) System troubleshooting and resolution Experience in Linux shell environment Data mapping and an understanding of data models Experience in business intelligence, data warehouse Good knowledge of User Account Management, Access Rights & Revalidation, RBAC. Experience with various development methodologies (SDLC, Scrum, Kanban), including processes and tools to support these methodologies (i.e., JIRA) Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Superior problem solving and analytical skills Proactive and self-starter with strong organizational skills to be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines Effective verbal and written communication University degree, College diploma and/or Certifications in a related discipline or equivalent training and work experience For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country. No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada. Strong Assets Involvement/experience in mid to large size system development projects Experience in P&C insurance Experience working on IFRS17 or similar regulatory compliance projects Experience with IFRS17 tools such as Stratum, IRM and Visual Analytics Tools; SAS Management Console Good understanding of system Monitoring and Logging concepts.
