SoC Physical Design Implementation Engineer - Grasse, FranceAs a Physical Design Engineer at Melexis, you will be a key person in the release of the digital part of Melexis integrated circuits. Our mixed signal circuits are developed mainly for the automotive market on CMOS processes from 350 nm to 22 nm. You will take complete ownership of all back-end activities for some of our circuits and also be a major contributor to the backend flow.More specifically, you will:Use and challenge our internal flow definition and automation, ensuring smooth interface of front-end and back-end flows.Coordinate release to production for 4 to 6 circuits per year.Ensure that the technical and quality targets of the product and process development are achieved.Contribute to the working team to conduct projects within the defined framework.Provide clear and detailed documentation of your deliveries.Support the Development team with customer return analysis.Report directly to our Backend Team Lead based in Grasse/Sophia Antipolis.Participate in different RTL2GDS flow deployment topics.Your ProfileYou have an engineering PhD or master’s degree in microelectronics, with at least 10 years of relevant working experience.You have built expertise in: Partitioning (Virtuoso), Synthesis (Genius/RTL), Place and Route (Innovus/FirstEncounter/ICCx), STA (Tempus/PrimeTime), modelling OCV and Xtalk effects, Equivalence Checking (Conformal), Design for Test, Power Analysis (Voltus/EPS), IR Drop, Electromigration, and programming languages (TCL).You have a good overview of design concepts and simulations, as well as an understanding of testability and its impact on the quality of the final product.You have good communication skills in English, combined with a driving personality and a proactive attitude.We OfferA challenging job in a dynamic high-tech and multi-cultural environment.The opportunity to take ownership of your professional passion to contribute to the success of the company.A team-oriented and professional atmosphere in a flat-structured organisation with a people-first culture.Hybrid way of working.Diversity & InclusionMelexis is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values and respects the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
