DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, prepare, review, coordinate, and manage designs (Stations), material lists, cost estimates, job issues, drawings, and financial audits for a variety of different types of projects from start to finish.
  • Liaise with municipal, regional, provincial government staff, other utilities, consultants, developers, contractors, customers, and various internal Elexicon Energy staff to ensure the timely provision of electrical supply and assigned projects execution.
  • Monitor progress of projects and prepare reports as required.
  • Prepare and administer technical components of the RFP/RFQ process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and Engineering analysis related software.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Regulation 22/04.
  • Knowledge of applicable CSA standards and Electrical Safety Code.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of GIS systems.
  • Knowledge of utility related construction practices.
  • Excellent safety record and strong safety awareness
  • Be dependable. This role is relied upon to complete assigned work within permitted timelines.
  • Have an exceptional attendance record and proven time management skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with both internal and external clients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-year post-secondary diploma Electrical Technologist.
  • O.A.C.E.T.T. designation as a Certified Engineering Technician or Technologist in the Province of Ontario in the Electrical discipline.
  • Possess a valid Ontario Class G Drivers' license with a good driving record.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience in the engineering field.
