Retail Merchandiser

Location:  Bradford, BD4 6HN / Hybrid Salary: Competitive Contract Type:  Permanent, full time As a Merchandiser you'll manage all key financial Merchandising KPI’s across Planning, Trading & Forecasting. A customer facing role you will maintain, develop and contribute to the profit plan for a specified area of responsibility and ensure all stakeholders have the right information, at the right time to facilitate right first time decisions across product, finance and supply planning.  You'll taking the customer data and insights and marrying this with sales data, you’re central to creating the opportunities for each customer business plan to achieve their profit potential across national accounts. Working closely with your Customers, Supply Chain, Product and Range you’ll ensure the right information is available at the right time to ensure the seamlessly delivery of product to store when it’s needed.  The merchandising specialist in your customer team your main responsibilities include: Account planning including sales plans, customer budget and SKU level decision making activities  Evaluating financial factors including assumptions and suitable contingency plans Forecasting across all elements whether total business, account, caption or line level Stock allocation requirements to deliver the customer plan whilst minimising stock exposure Top line trading analysis for forward planning and identifying risks & opportunities Facilitate the optimum range selection process through your analysis and insights  Develop strong cross functional relationships to ensure all interventions / activities are delivered in the most effective & profitable way Drive efficiencies, improved ways of working and increased profit across your customer accounts   Central to the team, you’ll use your knowledge of the retail landscape, customer objectives and consumer shopper insights to crunch the numbers and make profitable, timely decisions for the short, medium and long term impact.  Articulate, pro-active and resourceful, whether you’re looking for the next step in your merchandising career or side step into a supplier environment, to be successful we’re looking for you to demonstrate: Previous experience of working in a merchandising role or similar role within a Retail / FMCG business Experience using Tableau would be a significant advantage Excellent excel, numeric & analytical abilities to identify commercial insights relevant to our audience  You’re a confident communicator, able to adjust their approach to varying audiences, marrying your strong presentation skills with your skilled use of data and insights You’re people person, you take the time to build strong relationships, working with others to achieve shared objectives Your commercial acumen, using your knowledge and insights to engage and influence others, keeping profit growth at the core of decision making You’re organised, with a keen eye of the details, with experience of planning and forecasting sales across everyday & seasons A solid awareness of retail, and ideally our category, influences which are factored in to your decision making to mitigate risks to sales  This role could be equally perfect for an established Assistant or Junior Merchandiser looking for the next step in your career or an established Retail Merchandiser looking to further expand their skillset.  Whilst based at Dawson Lane, Bradford, you'll have a flexible working pattern including early mornings and some weekends, you'll take advantage of take advantage of: Competitive salary Hybrid working - A mixture of office based and working from home, especially when you're flexing your working hours 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, volunteer days and an annual Care Day Health cashback scheme Pension benefit Close to motorway links and public transport, alongside free onsite parking A variety of other cultural and lifestyle benefits, aimed at promoting a positive work/life balance You may have experience in the following roles: Retail Buyer, Assistant Merchandiser, Merchandise Planner, Category Manager, Trading Assistant, Supply Chain Coordinator, Product Planner, Demand Planner, Stock Controller, Allocator, Replenishment Manager, Retail Analyst, Commercial Planner, Range Planner, Inventory Planner, FMCG Planner, etc. REF-(Apply online only)
