Teaching Assistant (Youth Work/Young Offenders Background) Location: Bromley, South London Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM) Contract Type: Long-term, full-time Salary: £90-£100 per day About the Teaching Assistant Role: We are looking for dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is ideal for individuals with experience in youth work, young offenders services, or similar roles where you have worked with young people facing various challenges. Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning * Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored lessons for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) * Promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience, drawing on your experience with challenging behaviours * Build strong, supportive relationships with students, acting as a positive role model * Support pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment About You: * Experience working with young people from a youth work, young offenders, or similar background is essential * A strong, empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviour * Ability to work full-time (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM) * A passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed * Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to different situations What We Offer: * Long-term, full-time positions with the potential for permanent roles * Competitive salary with room for progression * Full training and ongoing support to develop your skills in a specialist SEN environment * The chance to work in a supportive team making a real difference in the lives of young people Submit your CV and contact LEANNE WILSON at Qualiteach to be considered for this great opportunity
