About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Proposition Writer, High-Value Audiences to join our fundraising team on a 24-month contract. This role will play a critical part in the Fundraising Growth programme, driving internal change and strengthening fundraising capabilities across the National Trust.
The Fundraising Growth programme is focused on diversifying income streams, deepening relationships with existing audiences, and enhancing systems and processes. As a Senior Proposition Writer, High-Value Audiences, you'll be instrumental in developing compelling content that showcases the National Trust's work and impact.
This is an exciting time to join the Fundraising family, as the National Trust prepares its organisational strategy for the next 10 years. You'll have the opportunity to refresh existing proposals and connect with new audiences through powerful storytelling.
As a Senior Proposition Writer, High-Value Audiences, you'll work closely with the proposition development team to develop and author proposals. You'll engage with technical experts and senior leaders to develop proposal content, and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop compelling proposals for high-value audiences, including Corporations, Major Donors, Grant Makers, and Trusts & Foundations.
- Work closely with project development teams and fundraisers to create clear, concise, and compelling written material.
- Engage with technical experts and senior leaders to develop proposal content.
- Manage competing deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Work independently and use initiative to refer issues to others when necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent written communication skills and ability to convey information to a range of audiences.
- Excellent grammatical and proofing skills.
- Experience of researching content for communications.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
- Ability to analyse, translate, and present complex research and ideas into written form.
- Knowledge and understanding of fundraising and philanthropic motivations.
