We are seeking motivated and dedicated Light Vehicle Technicians eager to upskill to Heavy Vehicle Technicians, specifically focusing on blue light vehicles and fire engines. This upskilling program is IMI accredited and jointly designed between Shorterm and the IMI, ensuring the highest standards of training and development. Key Responsibilities: Participate in the IMI accredited training program, jointly designed by Shorterm and the IMI, to transition from light to heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on blue light vehicles and fire engines. Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles. Adhere to all safety and quality standards to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Work collaboratively with the team to share knowledge and best practices. Complete all required documentation and records of the modules. Shifts: Early/Late Shift Monday to Friday, ensuring work-life balance and ample time for personal pursuits. Salary and Benefits: Competitive starting salary of £34,000 while on the program. Upon successful completion, salary progresses to a minimum of £44,000 and a transition to a permanent position with the client.
