Key Responsibilities Personalised Support: Provide tailored support to students with PMLD, ensuring their individual educational, emotional, and physical needs are met. Classroom Assistance: Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. Specialised Care: Offer personal care support, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance, with sensitivity and respect. Communication Aid: Utilize a variety of communication methods, including Makaton, PECS, and other assistive technologies, to support students’ interaction and learning. Progress Monitoring: Help track and document students' progress, celebrating their achievements and identifying areas for further support. Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational experience. Job Requirements Experience: Previous experience working with children with PMLD or in a similar SEN setting. Skills: Proficiency in communication aids and techniques, patience, and a nurturing attitude. Flexibility: Adaptable to changing needs and able to respond to a dynamic school environment. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in special education or a related field are highly desirable.
