Experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (North East Branch) Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience) + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Healthcare Company: Leading M&E Contractor Are you an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We are a prominent M&E contractor headquartered in Birmingham, seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team at our North East branch in Newcastle upon Tyne. Specializing in new build projects and installations within the education, MOD, and large industrial sectors, we offer an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all cost-related aspects of M&E projects, from initial estimates through to final accounts, ensuring projects are delivered within budget. * Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide accurate cost forecasting for new build and installation projects. * Prepare and submit tenders, valuations, and variations in line with project requirements. * Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth financial and contractual management. * Negotiate contracts and manage procurement of materials and subcontractors to achieve cost efficiencies. * Monitor and report on project financials, ensuring all financial risks are identified and mitigated. Requirements: * Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the education, MOD, or large industrial sectors. * Strong understanding of M&E systems, new build projects, and installation processes. * Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring financial control and profitability. * Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. * Self-motivated and driven, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
