IO’s Development Team is the centre for public sector land development in the Province of Ontario through its three Departments: Landmark Projects (LP), Social Purpose Projects (SPP), and Transit Oriented Communities (TOC). The Development team manages a $40BN program, working on some of the most impactful and high profile development projects in the Province, bringing together new and existing partners for the development of commercial solutions and the execution of related real-estate transactions to deliver on government priorities. The three verticals, LP, SPP and TOC, have direct impact on Ontario’s infrastructure projects including the creation of landmark destinations, health and long-term care facilities, housing, and transit-oriented communities that integrate with public transit delivery (along major bus, subway(s) and GO/LRT stations). Your contributions will help to maximize housing supply, deliver long-term care beds, revitalize and modernize provincial destinations, and create complete communities that include affordable and attainable housing, public services, community amenities, recreation/ family entertainment, daycare and employment. As the Vice President, Development, Transit Oriented Communities Program at Infrastructure Ontario, you will lead a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and execution of the TOC program portfolio. You will be responsible for providing leadership in policy, governance, stakeholder engagement, and financial management to drive the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.  What You Will Do Lead the formulation and implementation of program-wide policies, strategies, and governance frameworks for both GO/LRT TOC and Subways TOC portfolios.  Oversee key relationships with government ministries, municipalities, Indigenous communities, and other strategic partners to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.  Manage approvals, briefing materials, and submissions related to TOC transactions, ensuring compliance and efficiency.  Drive stakeholder consultations and negotiations, fostering positive relationships with municipal and regional partners to facilitate project developments.  Develop and maintain financial models, project data, and milestone schedules to support decision-making and ensure portfolio consistency.  Manage third-party professional services budgets and costs across the portfolio, ensuring financial feasibility and accountability.  Foster team growth and development through training initiatives, industry engagements, and talent pipeline management.  Who We're Looking For Before reviewing the qualifications listed below, we want you to know that we understand you may not meet all the qualifications described, but still encourage you to apply, as you may have other relevant expertise and experience that you can bring to the role.  Post-secondary and/or professional learnings in the following areas: RPP, , MBA, MS, CFA, CPA, or CAIA.  Extensive leadership experience in private and/or public sectors, with a focus on financial or professional services, including conducting detailed examinations in real estate, development, or infrastructure.  Strong understanding of government priorities, approval processes, and stakeholder management, with a strategic mindset and an ability to influence senior leaders effectively.  Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.  What's In It For You Commitment to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture that promotes a sense of belonging and represents and reflects the needs of the communities we serve.
