Job Purpose/Objectives of a Planning & Design Technician Assisting in the production of crane lift plans and working as part of a team dealing with day to day technical queries Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities of a Planning & Design Technician  Producing crane lift plans. Dealing with technical queries. Liaising with clients & sales/technical staff in producing CAD drawings. Creating and revising production drawings. Keeping abreast of related latest technology. Utilising knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics to complete drawings. Responsible for setting up and maintaining and organised file system for production drawings. General CAD administration duties. To ensure accuracy with organisation standards. Continually seek to improve the way in which the role operates within the business to achieve its objectives. Person Specification Education/Knowledge/Experience for a Planning & Design Technician 3D capability and experience is desirable, but not essential Design / Planning experience or qualification Experience in the construction or lifting industry is desirable.  Blue Prints-Able to read and understand construction drawings. A high achiever who likes to work to challenging goals. Skills/Abilities Ability to communicate effectively and respond to customer needs Ability to deliver value added service to customers. Strong customer focus. Ability to identify and resolve issues. And to able to collate and analyse data Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, committed to meeting deadlines (self-imposed and external), and to manage multiple requirements and demands effectively.
