Network Staff Engineer

As a network staff engineer, you will be responsible for the design and maintenance of our networking systems across multiple on-premises locations and data centers, as well as cloud networking in AWS, Google, and Azure. You will also ensure the security and reliability of our network infrastructure by configuring firewalls, VPNs, and managing outsourced resources for regional tasks in remote office locations. You will work closely with other IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver networking solutions that meet our current and future needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining network architectures and services for on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network issues and performance problems.
  • Configuring and managing network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Monitoring and optimizing network performance and security.
  • Developing and updating network documentation and policies.
  • Collaborating with external vendors and service providers for network-related projects and tasks.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to other IT staff and end-users.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering or administration, preferably in a large and complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, standards, and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • Experience with networking systems and tools from Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, Cisco, and other leading vendors.
  • Experience with multiple public cloud networking platforms and services: AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, including on premise connection options into virtual networks.
  • Experience with network security best practices and tools, such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, etc.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, AWS, or Azure, are a plus.
