We are currently seeking an experienced Director, Engineering for a well established manufcatuiring and food service client of ours. This role is accountable for the successful implementation of engineering standards, process, metrics and strategies that support high growth and evolution of our clients organization. Fundamental to the successful implementation of these insitiatives is the building of collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. This person will also provide leadership to the engineering team for Westetn Canada. Advantages- Excellent compensation - Short term and Long Term incentive plan - Benefits from day 1 - Vacation plus 2 personal days Responsibilities- Create and implement a system for evaluating and prioritizing engineering projects to ensure they align with the organizations goals - Show thought leadership and a strong commitment to identifying and pusuing continuous imprevement opportunities - Develop engineering standards and processes to ensure effictive implementation of related initiatives - Create and apply methods and procedures for managing projects from inception to completion - Develop processes and procedures for providing clear and timely project updates to senior management and the leadership team - Determine the resources needed to support and enhance in-house engineering capabilites Qualifications- Engineering degree with regional accredeitation (P.Eng)- Project Management Certification - At least 15 years of hands-on experience managing capital projects - Minimum of 10 years in a managemet role, preferrably withing food processing - Knowledge of various different types of regulatory environments (ex. environment, santitation, etcx) - Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and time management skills - Proven ability to manage performance of others to achieve desired results - Must be willing to travel extensively SummaryIf you would like to be considered for this opportunity please forward your resume via email to Lisa Johnson [email protected] Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
