Responsibilities: Fiscal strategies and action plans: Fiscal strategy supporting company transformation & profitability Tax proposals in order to foster the transition from cigarettes to reduced-risk alternatives Follow-up of Finance bills in parliament and proposal of proactive initiatives Follow-up of European directives Interactions within industry associations on tax-related issues Economic research and think tanks: Identify external 3rd parties for external research and think tanks Lead research and publication projects Special projects: On an ad-hoc basis, lead special projects related to external engagement E.g. projects related to regional focus, digital, cross-functional internal projects Internal collaboration: Work in collaboration with various internal teams and coordination with working groups Connection with other external affairs teams at EU & Global level as well as finance, legal and other departments of Philip Morris France Requirements: Graduated from a Bac +5 type Sciences-Po, Business School, or university equivalent You have at least 5-8 years of work experience for this manager level role Skills relevant to the role and appetence for external engagement matter more than a very specific work experience (no need to possess deep expertise in taxation) Examples of relevant experience along the 2 key requirements for the role: Analytics & business skills, in order to understand taxation technical aspects, assess its economic impact and link it to the broader issue of company transformation: typically experience in strategy / management consulting, corporate strategy, think-tank, economic research institution, policy analyst Public affairs and external engagement: typically experience in public affairs (corporate or consulting), collaborator of a member of parliament, think-tank You possess strengths in at least one of these 2 requirements and are willing to learn and grow for the other one Your current practice of French and English will allow you to evolve within an international company You are pragmatic and solution oriented What we offer: Our success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
