Building Superintendent

We are an apartment building property management company seeking a Superintendent couple for a 100-unit apartment building in St. Catharines, Ontario. POSITION: Superintendent STARTING DATE: Immediate JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a Superintendent Team of 2 who is energetic, detail oriented and hard-working. If you are organized, love to clean, skilled in maintenance/repairs, and thrive on providing excellent customer service, this role is for you! You will work in the building and live in an apartment on site. The Superintendent will be responsible for assisting in the overall management of staff, policy & procedures. The Superintendent will report directly to the company’s Head Office. Position Responsibilities: - Signs rental contracts with tenants by showing suites for rent, negotiating leases and collecting rent and security deposits - Minor maintenance and repair work with general trade knowledge (i.e. basic plumbing, electrical, painting) - Oversee day-to-day operations; provide decision making and company direction with minimal supervision Position Requirements: - Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act is required - Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and their own vehicle - You must be computer literate under the Windows environment and MUST have a working knowledge of Excel, Word and the Internet - Possess a secondary school diploma and/or undergraduate degree - A team player that demonstrates exceptional integrity and ethics - A strong customer focus is essential, as are demonstrated organizational, time management, multi-tasking, verbal and written communication skills This is a very hands-on job with a company that has been growing strong for 25 years.
