Job Role: HGV Class 1 Driver Vacancy Contract: Temp to Perm & Temp on-going vacancies available Location: Magna Park, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, LE17 Shift pattern: 5 days on 3 days off (Over time is available on request), & Adhoc shifts - we can work around your availability, Days and nights. Start times; 02:00am, 04:00am 05:00am & 08:00am available for temp to perm Various start times for adhoc shifts available - days and nights My Client is the approved logistics partner for one of the UK’s largest Supermarket Chains which has developed into a consolidated logistics centre in Lutterworth. Ideally located in striking distance of the Key UK ports and more importantly the UK Retailer warehouses. Working 24 hours a day, 363 days a year. My Client moves goods into their Clients on a Day 1 for Day 2 order lead time, seven days a week. My Client has a fleet of brand new HGV CLASS 1/ LGV vehicles with the right balance of economy and quality, and with multi-temperature trailers they offer the best conditions for the delivery of goods. Class 1 HGV/LGV Job role will include: Average drop 1 - 3 deliveries/Collections per shift. Varous day shifts start times for temp on-going. 7 day a week operation. Shift rota for temp to perm 5 days on 3 days off (overtime on rest days is available if WTD and HGV Driving hours allow). 10-12-hour shifts on average however, it is possible to complete a 15 hour day. Cutainside, Box, Double Deck & Refrigerated vehicles. Delivery to RDC’s throughout the UK. Possible collections from the Clients suppliers. Mostly driving however, there will be a requirement to assist with loading/unloading if requested by the Depots/Clients. Complete POD's & Return them to the transport office. Ensuring goods are safely secured. Completing HGV/LGV vehicle defect and maintaining logs. PAY RATES FOR CLASS 1 HGV/LGV DAY DRIVERS PAYE DAYS PAYE DAYS HOLIDAY SEPERATE HOLIDAY INCLUSIVE MON - FRI £14.50 MON-FRI £16.25 SAT £16.50 SAT £18.49 SUN £16.50 SUN £18.49 Please be advised that if temp to perm, holiday must be accrued seperately. Overtime payable at £1.00 increase on normal day rate weekday or weekend when permanent. 28 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays for the permanent drivers. What we are looking for: A valid full category HGV C+E Licence (Class 1) LGV C+E Experience. 3 months experience with HGV CLASS 1/LGV C+E Licence. No more than 3 points on driving licence. NO DR, IN or MS90 conviction codes due to insurance restrictions Minimum age 21 years due to insurance criteria. Drivers will be required to have a good attitude and able to work by themselves or with a team. Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Have good customer service skills and an eye for detail.
