That means you’ll need to think on your feet and challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues.As a Senior Manager, your responsibilities are to:Directly support client engagements and help build our practice as we address the growing interest in the energy transition and carbon markets.Identify/communicate trends, developments, and key performance drivers relevant to clients and potential clients.Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.Build strong internal relationships within our national and global CCaSS practice and across EY’s service lines.Skills and attributes for successLead business development initiatives.Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.Be a self-starter who takes ownership for tasks and team performance.Be a team player and leader.Ability to design and execute a logical phased approach to understand complex client issues.Ability to take a pragmatic approach to issues that underpin client relationships.Demonstrate professionalism and poise in working with clients.Demonstrate strong writing skills.Be technically comfortable at the interplay of climate change, energy systems and the economy.Have in-depth awareness of the pressure facing corporations to transition to the low-carbon economy.Have experience developing and evaluating decarbonization strategies.Ability to help clients understand their GHG emissions profile.Have experience with assessing the physical risks of different climate hazards on operations.Have strong working knowledge of carbon market opportunities.Ability to bring insight on IT solutions and data analysis tools.Have experience implementing the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures.Ability to present complex climate and energy transition scenarios.Have experience working with financial institutions on assessing climate risk.Willingness for out-of-town travel (approximately 20% of the time).To qualify for the role, you must have:Advanced degree(s) in Business/Economics alongside competence in Energy, Sustainability, Engineering or Environmental Science.8+ years of professional experience.Excellent project management and team leadership skills.Professional presence with the ability to establish personal credibility.Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.Location is flexible but the ability to work and present in French is essential.Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.Bilingualism in both French and English is required.What we offerAt EY, our Total Rewards package supports our commitment to creating a leading people culture.
