Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Engineer in Training to join our team in Delta, BC. The ideal candidate will assist with the design and detailing of bridges, bridge components, and steel structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Modelling and design of steel components such as bridge bearings.
- Design of pedestrian bridges.
- Design of structures to the relevant design code (CSA S16-14 and the BC building code).
- Design and detailing of bolted and welded steel connections.
- Conduct field reviews of completed work.
- Assist and provide input in preparing quotes.
- Assist with research and development of new products.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in the use of structural analysis, finite element analysis and detailing software.
Proficient in 3D modeling and CAD.
Demonstrate written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Required Training and Experience:
Degree in civil engineering.
