Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Engineer in Training to join our team in Delta, BC. The ideal candidate will assist with the design and detailing of bridges, bridge components, and steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Modelling and design of steel components such as bridge bearings.
  2. Design of pedestrian bridges.
  3. Design of structures to the relevant design code (CSA S16-14 and the BC building code).
  4. Design and detailing of bolted and welded steel connections.
  5. Conduct field reviews of completed work.
  6. Assist and provide input in preparing quotes.
  7. Assist with research and development of new products.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in the use of structural analysis, finite element analysis and detailing software.
Proficient in 3D modeling and CAD.
Demonstrate written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Required Training and Experience:

Degree in civil engineering.
