SNDL's investment portfolio seeks to deploy strategic capital through direct and indirect investments and partnerships throughout the North American cannabis industry.Job summaryThe Business Technology Data Analytics & Insights team at SNDL Inc is currently looking for a Senior Manager Data & Analytics with strong experience working with Microsoft’s ERP and Business Intelligence tools and environments. Data is a big focus for our company and this role will be part of a key partner working with the business. In this role you'll steward internal control environments, developing productivity initiatives and reviewing data and analytics projects/strategy. The ideal candidate would also have a penchant for learning emerging technologies like machine learning and data science, excellent communication skills, and has a proven track record of solving complex problems and influencing teams to understand the value of data.Role & ResponsibilitiesThe role involves direct engagement with business to understand the problem statement and work with our developers and the business to deliver solutions.Assess current state, understand business context in depth, translate it to outputs and formulate recommendations for sustainable solutions.Lead the delivery of a broad range of Data, Analytics, Visualizations and Data Science & AI related strategies.Collaborate with cross functional teams to gain deep understanding of the business processes to identify gaps and transformation opportunities.Lead analysis of large sets of complex finance delivery.Develop data models and tools to provide actionable insights to business.Lead the scoping, definition and delivery of Data Governance assessments and workshopsPartnering with teams across the organization to promote analytically-powered transformation and simplification.Design innovative automated reporting solutions and interactive visualizations from diverse data sources making complex information accessible and engaging.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in data analytics and reporting.There will be job duties that will involve Technology Implementation(50%), Project Planning and Execution (35%), Stakeholder Engagement (10%) and Compliance Requirements Adherence(5%)Preferred Experience & Competencies8+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting and Data AnalyticsBachelor’s DegreeDemonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale digital transformation.Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving ability and leadership skills along with relationship management ability.Data and detail oriented along with analytical thinking.Experience in the retail industry is considered an asset.Good understanding of Microsoft applications like PowerBI, PowerApps, Azure, Dynamics 365, Azure Synapse etc.Comfortable in working with Power platforms and knowledge of DAX and data modeling.Knowledge of relational databases, information architecture, data warehousing, ETL and SQL.As a valued member of the SNDL team, you will enjoy:Competitive total compensation and incentivesA top-notch extended benefits package including medical, vision and dentalAn entrepreneurial and innovative environment that fosters growth and continuous learningWe are grateful for the interest in this role from all candidates, however, we will be contacting only those that are selected for next steps in the hiring process.Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:SNDL is an equal opportunity employer.
