Finance Assistant

About the Role: As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner. Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate and organised financial records. Support the month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy. Perform general administrative tasks as required.Requirements: Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is advantageous. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive and positive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Qualifications: AAT qualification or working towards a recognised accounting qualification is desirable.
