Mechanical Fitter Barrow-In-Furness £34,000-£37,000    My client is a manufacturing and engineering company specialising in process equipment packages. They are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join the team. Responsibilities: To conduct the mechanical assembly of components to build machinery, pipework, skid packages and steelwork erection. To fabricate and install components and pipework using different materials. To be able to use a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment. To be able to read and interpret technical drawings accurately. To have the ability to identify any leaks or malfunctions. To ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for accuracy and conformance to specifications. Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut and bend accurately. To ensure work is carried out to the highest quality standard. To communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisor/chargehand in a timely manner To carry out works in line with work instructions, processes and RAMS You may be required to perform additional tasks and responsibilities in line with the needs of the business. Experience: Experience in mechanical fitting/pipe fitting. Proficiency in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations. Competence in using power tools, hand tools, measuring equipment. Ability to assemble components accurately. Mechanical knowledge for equipment assembly. A sound understanding of health and safety policies. Flexibility is key as occasional extended shifts may be necessary. A valid driver's license is essential. Security clearance required.
