Senior Python Developer

Sr Python Developer/Engineer Contract: 1 yearLocation: Toronto - On-site, at least 3 days a week Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying Python and C# applications from scratch to the cloud and helping set up the local environment. This role will involve direct interaction with the business.The candidate will maintain, but not build, CICD pipelines.Daily Responsibilities: Provide consultant service to stakeholders including developers, business users and othersCollaborate with development, operations, and other stakeholders to align platforms with application and business requirements.Maintain DevOps pipeline configuration and target for no-touch production deployment enablement.Identify and resolve issues related to cloud / VM infrastructure, networking and performance in a timely manner, e.g. Fix vulnerability issuesImplement and manage cloud resources and service on Kubernetes cloud platforms, e.g. OpenshiftSetup monitoring, alerting and automated scaling to ensure the availability and performance of cloud resourcesMusts: Strong Python app dev, C# Docker Kubernetes, DevOps toolsInternal client facingNice-to-have SkillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesExperienced in python application developmentExperienced in no-touch / low-touch CICD pipeline maintenanceStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with Docker / KubernetesFamiliarity with VM deployment and config management.
