SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for supporting inventory control, purchasing, supply planning activities for demonstration/loaner assets and finished goods inventories, as well as general support of project or continuous improvement activities for KARL STORZ. The successful candidate will be able to elevate company standards, provide a sound support structure for sustained operational growth, and offer solutions and/or analytical information to help drive better business decisions across the organization.RESPONSIBILITIESInventory Management / PurchasingManage/investigate/troubleshoot inventory exceptions or discrepancies, related to physical and/or SAP processes.Maintain accurate inventory of sales and demo equipment by reviewing reports, addressing posting issues, picking issues (discrepancies)Perform regular inventory reconciliations & investigate discrepanciesSupply planning, ensure that minimum inventory levels are stocked, as per finished goods or demo stocking strategiesAssist in documentation of processes, writing work instructions for new inventory processes, updating the WI annually as neededEnsure cycle count processes are being performed and monitoredEnsure weekly warehouse cycle count processes are supported with assigned sample plans and counts are executed and documented as per current policy and procedures.Maintain SAP master data for operational functional areas (ie MRP, WM, QM)Oversee permanent demo consignments – long term loans, rep ‘sample bags’, repairs, additions/deletionsOversee equipment returns to external Karl Storz suppliers (NSW or KST)Support service loaner inventory requests from end customersProvide support to Finance and other departments for issues or inquiries regarding inventoryAssist with identification and management of obsolescent inventoriesDecision SupportEnsure that all supply chain relevant processes are being monitored with appropriate KPI’s or dashboards to support better business decisions and/or the quality management systemDevelop new reporting or analytics where applicableDevelop, maintain, or execute other routine supply chain metrics as prescribed. (ie OTS, DOH, Inventory Accuracy, Supplier Performance.)Use Metrics to drive knowledge of key performance indicators and support tactical or strategic business decisions.Demand PlanningParticipate in discussions and provide overall support to demand planning activities. Ensure data is maintained in SAP IBP or other decision support systems; within targeted planning areas (ie distribution channels or product specialties)Process Improvement / Project ManagementAssist with process improvement initiatives as necessary (SAP or other process flows) using LEAN concepts wherever possible.Assist with testing activities related to SAP system changes.Assist project management teams with planning and executing new initiatives.Lead small initiatives as part of the departmental goals.Change ManagementAssist and support in the development of SOP’s and WI’s for the supply chain department.Ensure the roll-out and training of SOP’s/WI’s.Assist with cross-training of employees within Supply Chain and/or outside of the department as applicable.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESProven relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times; dealing with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, in Canada or other regions.Team player possessing strong interpersonal skills with a desire to collaborate, share knowledge to benefit others and solve problems positively in a highly competitive environment.Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.Basic understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control practices.Detail oriented, able to maintain accurate, organized and consistent records, electronically or otherwiseVery proficient with ERP technologies for transacting material movements or extracting data sets.Highly self-motivated, reliable, hardworking and driven. Ability to work in fast paced environment to achieve goals while under time constraints.A high level of Excel knowledge (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, merging data sets)QUALIFICATIONSCompletion of a university undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.Advanced or Expert level Excel and data manipulation skills.3+ years of supply chain experience, preferably within the areas of inventory control, purchasing, order management, and/or supply planning.APICS CSCP/CPIM (or other supply chain designations) are considered additional assets2+ years experience with SAP (ECC or HANA) an asset.
