Technical Sales Estimator Summary A Precision CNC Manufacturing Company Based in Hertfordshire, covering a broad range of Sectors Including Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport, and Robotics. We operate a high-quality engineering facility that offers a clinical and precise working environment, utilising state of the art machine tools and supporting equipment. This opportunity has arisen due to our continuous growth and development of our client. The candidate we are looking for should be a hardworking, diligent, and conscientious individual. This role will consist of assisting our technical sales team on new engineering projects as well as other administrative duties. The Role & Responsibilities The day-to-day role will be assisting our technical sales team and will consist of the following duties: - • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring JK Engineering can deliver a quality product. • Creating process plans to evaluate what is required to produce the component. • Calculate machining times and create a complete product quotation that includes materials, treatments, and hardware. • Creating formal quotations for customers using MRP System • Liaising with Suppliers to obtain quotations for required processes • Track sent quotations for feedback and sales orders • Following up on potential business opportunities Key skills for this role which should include most listed but should not be limited to: • Computer literate with a good understanding of word, excel, etc • Good telephone manner and communications skills • Read and understand mechanical engineering drawings • Ability to liaise and build a good relationship with suppliers and customers • Very well organised and tidy with an acute attention to detail • Good understanding of CNC 5 axis mills, multi axis lathes and a basic knowledge of CAD CAM systems • Understanding of material types and grades, including machinability • An understanding of material treatments and finishing processes Advantageous Experience: • Engineering workshop or environment • ISO 9001 or AS9100 • Design and technical drawing review • MRP system • CNC Machinist (Operation/ Programming) (Preferred) If you are interested in this role please contact Chris Fenwick at HP4 Recruitment or apply below and we will get in touch
