Annual Salary Range:

Exempt Band 5

  1. MIN $98,600.00
  2. MED $116,000.00
  3. MAX $133,300.00

Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In addition, our pay philosophy is to align with the median of the comparable market and to be considerate of internal equity comparisons.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Manager, Fleet Technical Services, the Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance Standards is responsible for the quality assurance program, maintenance invoice oversight, technical support, maintenance training and diagnostic services to support BC Transit provincial fleet, including contracted service providers responsible for maintaining vehicles. What you'll bring to the table...

We value lifelong learners and have found that a mix of any of the following credentials have set people up for success in this role in the past. Post secondary diploma plus, journeyman mechanic or a related field. Five (5) years related experience. Supervisory experience with fleet management or the transportation sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Knowledge of Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP), the Motor Vehicle Action, Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) and BC Transit Fleet Standards. Knowledge of concepts, practices and techniques of bus mechanics and maintenance. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, including condition monitoring.
