An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the growing portfolio of transport planning projects within one of the UK's leading independent consultancies. This specialist design practice takes an integrated approach to Transport, Placemaking, and Engineering. The firm's holistic approach ensures both innovative and deliverable design solutions, aligning with their vision to create better places through good design.
The role involves working across a range of diverse projects, with an initial focus on meeting commitments in the development of planning projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or higher (in fields such as Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Maths, Science, Geography, etc.) and possess experience in development-led Transport Planning projects.
Candidates should demonstrate:
Experience in producing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans
A strong technical background, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry-specific software (e.g., Junctions 9, Linsig, AutoCAD, ArcGIS)
Experience in conducting access feasibility studies and design
Knowledge of and experience applying design guidance, such as Manual for Streets and LTN 1/20
An excellent understanding of the planning process in England
Excellent communication skills
The ability to contribute to bids and financial proposals
